Who Am I? Well… Ronni!
Hi, I’m Ronni.
Welcome to Laundry Is My Life! I’m so glad you’re here.
I started this blog in 2019 after taking a break from teaching to stay home with my youngest son. At the time, life in our blended family was overwhelming. Like many moms and stepmoms, I was trying to figure out how to love my family well while still taking care of myself.
Writing became my therapy.
I realized I wasn’t the only woman asking questions like:
Am I doing enough?
Will this ever get easier?
Does anyone else feel this way?
So I created Laundry Is My Life to remind moms and stepmoms that they are not alone.
A lot has changed since then. My boys are now 9 and almost 18. I’m back teaching as a special education teacher, and I’ve also become a children’s book author through my Forever Family Tales™ series.
Life still isn’t perfect and honestly, I don’t think it ever will be but who’s is?
But I’ve learned that laughter, grace, compassion and a little perspective can make even the hardest seasons feel lighter.
Here you’ll find honest conversations about marriage, parenting, blended families, motherhood, teacher life, family adventures, and the funny moments that remind us not to take ourselves too seriously.
If you leave this website feeling encouraged, understood, or simply smiling a little more than when you arrived, then I’ve done what I set out to do.
Thank you for being here.
I’m so happy you found me.

Hi Mamas!
I want to thank you for taking the time to read my blog! My mission is to help others who are facing situations that I have also faced! As not only a mother of a toddler, I am also someone who is in a blended family for the second time, I am all too aware of the lack of resources out there for women in our role.
Throughout my roller coaster ride of small victories and heartaches I never lost sight of the ultimate goal, to be the best partner, mama, and step mama to my 3 year old son and 11 year old stepson. I am sure this is the same goal for many of you, this is where I come in!
I have a Bachelor’s in Communication Studies (Journalism), a Master’s in Business, and a Master’s in Education. My professional work experience includes, but is definitely not limited to, public relations, the hospitality industry, and education. I began teaching in 2006 and have extensive experience with children and behaviors.
Quite honestly, I feel my personal experience supersedes my professional experience. With a combined total of 15 years of blended family life experience under my belt, this is my most important credential. I have been in the trenches and would love to help others whether it’s through my blog or blended family coaching.
Blended family life can sometimes feel quite heavy. For me, my blended family journey has been beautiful but nothing short of difficult, emotional, and lonely.
